How to get to Mag-aso Falls?

How to get to Mag-aso Falls? Paano?! So easy.. 

One day, Isang araw, we planned a rainy day getaway. Yes! You read it right! If there's a summer getaway there must also be a rainy day getaway. 

MAG-ASO FALLS! Here we come! 

It was recommended by a friend so I automatically hit my keyboard and did some research.

How to get there?

Research... Research...Research... Sempre di ba? I don't wanna end up in Mars! Lol!

Mag-Aso Falls is Located in Brgy. Oringao, Kabankalan, Negros Island (used to be Negros Occidental), Philippines.

From SM Bacolod, our starting point, we decided to take a cab/taxi going to Bacolod South Terminal. Taxi Fare - P60-70.00. Travel time is 10-15 minutes. Then look for a Bus (Vallacar Ceres Tours) bound to Dumaguete/Mabinay.

Bacolod South Terminal to Brgy. Oringao - P164.00 (Aircon Bus)

                                                                P135.00 (Non-Airconditioned)

Travel time from Bacolod to Oringao Market - 2-3 hours.

On your way tell manong conductor to drop you at Oringao wet Market or Mercado Oringao in Kabanlan. From Mercado Oringao don't worry there are a lot of tricycles and habal-habal (single motor cycle) waiting to get you to Mag-Aso Falls.

Finally, we reached our destination. Yehey! 

Mag-Aso Falls.

Entrance Fee - P50/head (includes unlimited swimming)

Day Cottage Rental - P200.00/day

Overnight cottages are also available for only P1,000/room for those who wish to spend the night.

Tip 1: They only have two (2) overnight cottages so you better reserve ahead.

Tip 2: Also, you better buy all you need especially food & water coz there's no restaurant there. 

But there's a small sari-sari store (tiangge) right outside the Mag-Aso Resort the owner named it Mag-Pusa Resort. Meow.. Haha! 

Guess what? MagPusa Resort also accepting overnight renters. 

Small Room (Fan) - P1,000/room (good for 4 pax) - w/ CR & shower but no TV. 

Family Room  (Fan) - P2,000/room - (No limit as long as u can fit inside, up to you) w/ CR, Shower & a kitchen but no TV.

 They also have a pool where you can splash.

Rooms are non-air conditioned because most of the time grrrr it's freeeeeezing there.

Roaming around and enjoying the view.

Everyday caretakers are cleaning up the whole resort including the pool. seeeee? soooo cleeeean!

 My favorite part! So enchanted.

Green scenery. An escape from my busy life in the city. Feels like I wanna live there forever!

A fresh water in the pool has no chlorine, all natural.

God's gift to mankind.

There was a big waterfall there too but I didn't take a pic coz the water was so brown due to heavy rains. 

We had a great time there and planning to come back over & over

 again.
